This is a chance for the general public to try out the latest summer 2010 standup paddle models by the industry's leading SUP manufacturers.

A fun filled day for the whole family.

Standup Roundup Flatwater Festival

Welcome to the Hobie Knockout $1,000 SUP Sprint Race which will be held Sunday May 23, 2010 at Bonita Cove, in Mission Bay, San Diego Ca. brought to you by the organizers of the Annual Standup Roundup. Elite Standup Paddlers (Men and Women) from Southern California will match skills, speed and endurance while vying for the top Prize of $1,000 on a 100 meter flatwater sprint course. Heats of 8 paddlers will sprint head to head on boards provided by Hobie SUP, the last finisher will be eliminated until 2 are left to advance to semi finals. The top 2 paddlers from the semi finals will then repeat the process for the Final. (***There will be a surprise twist to the Final race which will test the champion's skill)

Industry leaders from the Sport of Standup Paddling will be present to give the public an opportunity to try the Sport of Standup Paddling. The top team riders from various SUP Manufacturers will be on hand for various free technique clinics.

- From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge and the parking lot will be on the left-hand side.
- From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge and the parking lot will be on the left-hand side.
- Parking is free in these lots.
